With professionals in mind, the pro option includes tailored lessons to maintain good health and practice, avoid bad habits and develop your voice to the next phase.
Some professionals come to us without fully understanding the physiology and techniques of the voice that can make their singing much easier and quicker to develop. Sometimes you may have trouble staying in your head or chest register or sometimes you may find you are sticking to just one sound.
We work with your voice, your style and your sound to facilitate the use of your instrument and if neccesary, explore other vocal modes that you can use to express your music in other ways at ease.
The Professional option includes a CD or Mp3 recording of the lesson to take away and work with. The lesson could include theory, exercises, warmup techniques, repertoire analysis or practicing your own material depending entirely on your requirements of the lesson. The lessons are planned in advance, homework is given and we keep a specific track record of your progress to refer to.

If you have Skype and a webcam, we can provide pre-booked lessons wherever you are in the world.
Lessons can involve training the basics of theory, warmups and exercises and working through songs, similar to the Standard Lessons below, depending on what you are looking for.

Working with Beginners, Intermediate or Advanced singers, these one-to-one lessons work around your needs to develop the foundations for a healthy and efficient voice.
Our training is suitable for everyone, whether you say you can sing or not, whether you are pro or a begginner, every singer needs a vocal coach and we provide a personalised way of getting you the best training.
Lessons train your breathing, posture, resonance, range, pitch, projection, articulation and more. If you are looking to find your own voice, we strip things down to the basics and work towards a voice that is unaffected by other influences. If you are working towards a diverse use of your voice, such as in musical theatre, we can explore the different vocal modes used by professionals to express emotions, facilitate your singing and change different sounds at will.
Training builds your awareness of the physiology of the voice, understanding of what to do where, builds your intuition of how to use your own voice in the best way and prevents you from over-pushing your voice and straining when you're under pressure to sing and get it right!
We can also work through your songs and analyse different approaches in technique or style and train the best way for you to sing a song.

Lessons can also be taken in a group or combined with piano or guitar. Your lessons can also be recorded to CD or Mp3 for £5 or we can combine your singing lessons with a recording session.
All of our clients are welcome to perform at our regular gig nights.
We also offer a bulk discount when taking 1 1/2 hours worth of lessons per week. This could be taken in 3 half-hour sessions or however suits you. The development of your voice when taking this method is very fast. Instead of the usual standard lesson price of £54 this discount comes to £45 per week. Group lessons can be for bands, vocal groups or just a group of friends for fun! If you're starting from scratch, we will cover the basic 'tricks of the trade' to help you quickly sing stronger and with confidence. We then take a look at songs of your choice and can arrange harmonies and solos.
If you're a band or group, let us know what you're looking for first. It can sometimes be better to take individual lessons on a one-to-one basis.

Our studio is next door to the training room and we can record and produce any type of demo you require. Acapella, accompanied or with backing track.
These sessions can be straight-forward recording sessions or combined with the standared or pro coaching listed above if you would like to perfect your studio technique or you want to get the best out of your recording session.
This is great for advanced singers to get a new demo and excellent for beginners to hear themselves through different stages of their development. This can build confidence in your singing to no end!

Lessons can be combined if you are a Singer/Songwriter or a multi-instrumentallist and want to learn how to perform with both your voice and your instrument at the same time.
Alternatively we can teach you singing and either piano or guitar simultaneously to develop your skills with an instrument. Lessons like this suit singers who would like to get into writing and composing music or learn the basics of music theory by taking up the piano.
Lessons can be down to earth and simple depending on your requirements.
Studio skills or music technology can also be combined with your singing lessons to learn more about how studio equipment works. Lessons can be tailored to you as a vocalist so that they are not technically demanding. These lessons cover equipment such as microphones, mixers, effects and processing, how to mix, how to produce, how to arrange instruments, etc. By the end of the lessons you will be able to produce your own demo.
Singing Lessons can be combined with guitar, piano or music technology at no extra cost.
These sessions are for anyone who sings or plays an instrument to join a group and use your voice any way you like! We put aside the training and put the voice in to practice. The sessions are aimed specifically towards the voice, but we also have a drummer, guitarist and keyboardist playing with us to provide the accompaniment. If you play another instrument such as guitar, violin or cello, you are more than welcome to join us and improvise with your instrument. We improvise music on the spot based on song structures so we can all solo, harmonise, create a chorus, sing words in a verse or stick to simple noises as backing vocals.
This is an exciting way to try out new things with your voice and play with other musicians and is great to inspire songwriting, to influence your creative spark and to break into improvising... whether you've done it before or not! By improvising you can really break out of the box if you feel you are stuck to one way of writing. You can experience different rhythms, different melodys, other singer's individual styles, harmonies, lyrics, structures and new ideas.
In each session, we will do a few minuites of warming up but there is no emphasis on the training. We spend most of the time practically using our voices in improvisation, harmony, chord structures and singing both backing and lead lines. All styles are welcome and all levels of singers are invited to get involved! All noises, 'yeahs' and proper words are allowed!

Our performance nights are great for all levels of singer or musician: beginner, intermediate or advanced.
Build your confidence and put it to the test by performing with our band in front of friends and family and our other clients at Artist Studios!
Beginners and intermediate singers can get the chance to play any songs of their choice with a band behind them. The songs can be rehearsed in the lessons and the band will play the songs for you on the night.
The more advanced singers can use this opportunity to break away from their routine and try out new ideas, new songs, covers you've never tried, or play your songs with new instrumentation. i.e. if you are in a rock function band, you could ask us to play some jazz backing for the night as a one off gig!
The nights are held every month so please contact us to get on the mailing list. It is free to perform, Our regular clients can perform for free but there is a small fee to cover the band costs if you aren't taking lessons with us.
